അമ്മേടെ ജീവൻ

ഇറ്റീ, ജീവൻ പോയവർടെ ഫോട്ടോ കാണിക്കൂ ..

കുഞ്ചു ഈയിടെയായി എന്നും അമ്മേടടുത്ത് പറയുന്ന ഒരു കാര്യമാണിത്. It all started when he had seen Amma scanning the ചരമം page of the newspaper that she reads. He was curious to know why so many photos of people were there on that page. Amma had told him "ഇവരുടെയൊക്കെ ജീവൻ പോയതാ". Of course, that had instigated a series of other questions like എങ്ങനെയാ ജീവൻ  പോയെ, അമ്പോറ്റി എന്തിനാ ജീവൻ കൊണ്ട് പോവുന്നെ, ജീവൻ പോയവർക്ക് നടക്കാൻ പറ്റുമോ, കഴിക്കാൻ പറ്റുമോ, മിണ്ടാൻ പറ്റുമോ, etc etc.

But yesterday while seeing those pictures, he asked her "ഇറ്റീ , ഇറ്റീടെ ജീവനും പോവുമോ?" Amma replied, കൊറേ വയസ്സാവുമ്പോ ഇറ്റീടേം ഇറ്റഹന്റേം ഒക്കെ ജീവൻ പോവും.

Then he said, "അമ്മേടേം ജീവൻ പോവുമോ ഇറ്റീ? എന്റെ അമ്മേടെ ജീവൻ പോയാൽ എനിക്ക് ഭയങ്കര സങ്കടം വരും.."

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I heard this from Amma! :/
