This is taken from an online diary that I had started to jot down memories about Pranav's early years, but I am somehow not updating it. Today it's been 20 months since that beautiful day when Pranav came to this world, so here goes: copy-paste from what I'd written a year ago.
Amma & Ammayi were there with me in the labour room when I was in pain for 5 hours and later pushed my baby into this world. Kochitta, Suraj & Achan waited impatiently outside..
On the first sight itself I felt he resembled Suraj - I could even see a small moustache! :-)
MEMORIES ABOUT THE BIRTH
Nobody would believe it - but I knew it was a boy a second before Ammayi told me "ആണ് കുഞ്ഞാ കേട്ടോ ടാ .." Then I heard him crying and wondered aloud "Why is he crying?".. After they cleaned him and brought him to me, I kissed his forehead on impulse, and it was the best feeling in the world!
